We are at the turn of the ages and also at a perilous phase in modern history. While there seemed to be a lull in the warmongering of Kali Yuga leaders and a glimmer of hope in the form of a ceasefire, the war in Ukraine has started again and the one in Gaza doesn’t seem to stop. We are at the threshold of technological change like we haven’t seen before but this harbinger of material development has been clouded by world events. Such a situation demands a sagacious analysis, which is what this article promises to deliver.
The presiding deity of this planetary yuga, Lord Kalki, has established his rule in Shambhala and he verily reigns over the entire Earth albeit magnificently. However, clearly he has appeared on the horizon of heaven and all those who have tuned to his presence can attest that he is indeed here. Erstwhile, he was walking secretly in our midst manifesting his glory and power in enigmatic ways but now that the transition of the yugas is nearly over, He has deemed it appropriate to manifest himself noumenally on Earth.

The controversial trade war in the form of tariffs and reciprocal tariffs wages on and it has put the world in jeopardy again. As nations are at loggerheads with the US, they are imposing counter tariffs to President Trump, who seems irked with the new turn of events. In fact, the US is being sued by China for its tariffs at the ICJ (International Court of Justice). Countries are scrambling to contain the detrimental effects of these tariffs as it triggers a real economic nuclear winter all over the world. The signs of a global recession are apparent as markets tumble and the spectre of inflation surfaces.
Meanwhile there have been new developments in the domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are seeing the emergence of Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), which is one level above AGI, and OpenAI is already leading the world in its development. There have been venture capital and fresh rounds of investment into ASI development. For example, Japan's SoftBank has promised to invest in OpenAI’s ChatGPT so that the latter integrates ASI. However, one of SoftBank’s preconditions is that OpenAI becomes a profit-making company. This truly doesn’t bode well for the future development of AI as OpenAI was ensuring that the world benefits from the safe development of AI and AI standards free of charge or at low-cost.
We are also seeing new developments in the domain of Quantum Computing. Microsoft has come to the fore with its quantum chip, the Marjorana and Google has also invented its Willow chip. Another interesting new innovation is by NVIDIA who is using AI (ML) and Quantum Computing for quantum error correction. This merger of Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence is what will revolutionize tomorrow’s computing. We are seeing more and more use-cases of quantum supremacy, or in other words situations where a programmable quantum computer can solve a problem that no traditional computer can.

We are entering an era of vertical innovation where new developments are adopted readily and integrated into technological development projects. India, for instance, now has a homegrown semi-conductor industry as Tata group has forayed into the development of computer chips and computer components. This effectively means that India is no longer offering only IT services to the world; it has now entered the world of computer hardware. This is being made possible by private-public sector partnership and its ramifications will be salutary for India in the long-run.
As India shifts from providing IT services to manufacturing computer hardware, companies are now reinventing themselves to become Global Capability Centers (GCCs) where the corporate career ladder is ditched in favour of a place for leadership development, career mobility and cross functional roles. GCCs also offer a 30% higher pay cheque than traditional IT services companies. However, these positions do demand that the workforce be reskilled to AI as these companies are designed to leverage AI completely.
Mauritius would do well to take notice as this is a model we can emulate. Here, the economy seems to be on the road to recovery as we see the first signs of an appreciation of the rupee. The cost of staple food and essential commodities that are imported is gradually decreasing. However, private companies will definitely suffer the after shocks of the tariffs maelstrom if no viable economic solution is discovered to this newfound idiosyncrasy of President Trump.
The world is changing. Now is the time to understand this new age of Aquarius or planetary Satya Yuga. KLP articles offer both a personal and worldly outlook on this new Satya Yuga. I also invite you to read my book, The Spiritual Science of the Vedas (see homepage), to truly understand it and our role in it.
For AI aficionados, here is a video guide to understand the evolution of AI. (Credits: Future Business Tech)
